Java Developer Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Software Development & Implementation
    • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.

  2. Implement RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and microservices-based architectures.

  3. Ensure code quality, reusability, and adherence to best practices.

  4. Optimize application performance and scalability.

  5. Back-End Development & API Integration

  6. Develop and integrate APIs for seamless data exchange between front-end and back-end systems.

  7. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Spring Security).

  8. Work with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka for asynchronous processing.

  9. Database Management

  10. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for data persistence.

  11. Write optimized queries and stored procedures for database interactions.

  12. Ensure database security, indexing, and optimization for better performance.

  13. Testing & Debugging

  14. Perform unit testing using JUnit, Mockito and integration testing for ensuring code reliability.

  15. Debug and troubleshoot performance issues, memory leaks, and runtime exceptions.

  16. Implement logging mechanisms using Log4j, SLF4J. 5. CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration

  17. Work with DevOps teams to integrate code into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).

  18. Utilize containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes for application deployment.

  19. Collaborate on cloud-based deployments using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  20. Security & Performance Optimization

  21. Ensure application security using encryption, authentication, and secure coding standards

  22. Optimize Java applications for speed and efficiency.

  23. Identify and resolve vulnerabilities following OWASP best practices.

  24. Agile Development & Team Collaboration

  25. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

  26. Work with product managers, business analysts, and UI/UX designers to refine requirements.

  27. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs and enhance user experience. 8. Documentation & Continuous Learning

  28. Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and API documentation.
    • Stay updated with Java advancements, frameworks, and best practices

• Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and team mentorship.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Core Java (JDK 11+), Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA.
    • Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services.

  • SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).

  • Testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
    • Version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) - optional but preferred.
    • Angular development

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

  • Attention to detail and passion for software development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications like Oracle Certified Java Programmer (OCJP), Spring Professional Certification are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500, ₹1,700,000.00 per year
